Acupuncture

"Experience the flow of energy within your body and mind."

Acupuncture, an ancient practice originating in China, boasts a history spanning thousands of years within its home country. While historical records do indicate instances of acupuncture being utilized in Europe centuries ago, its widespread adoption in Western Europe, the United States, and Canada primarily unfolded during the latter half of the 20th century.

This therapeutic technique involves the insertion of exceptionally fine needles through the patient's skin, precisely at designated points across the body. The depth to which the needles are inserted varies. In accordance with the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, these acupuncture points align with meridians, pathways through which vital energy, known as Qi, flows. Presently, acupuncture has gained global popularity for addressing a diverse range of disorders and ailments.

The World Health Organization (WHO) attests to the efficacy of acupuncture in treating and alleviating a wide spectrum of diseases and conditions. If you seek more in-depth information, kindly refer to the "patient info" section.

A mounting number of clinical trials provide substantiated evidence of acupuncture's favorable impact on therapeutic outcomes. Research underscores acupuncture's potential to mitigate post-surgery and post-chemotherapy nausea and vomiting. Additionally, it has been proven effective in pain management. Although the precise mechanisms behind acupuncture's effects remain partially elusive, it is believed to enhance the activity of the body's pain-relieving compounds. Moreover, it might influence the release of chemicals responsible for regulating blood pressure and circulation.
